United States Bowling Congress

Attention League Secretaries,
your Final Averages are due

Complete and turn in your league final averages to the association office no later than Friday
May 16. This is an effort to help us meet our deadline for the following season yearbook. Remember, your responsibilities do not end until your final averages are turned in on time! Missing this date may put your league in jeopardy of not having your league members averages in our next average book. This year we want 100% of the leagues in our next average book. If you have any questions, please call Steve at the association office at 488-3761.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Our Mission Statement

My Fellow Bowlers,

As we prepare to enter the new bowling season, there are new changes in the Association.  We have elected 14 new directors who will be stopping at their assigned centers to introduce themselves.

We have moved our Association (City) Tournament to November because Syracuse will be hosting the New York State USBC Bowling Association Tournament next spring  We are hoping for increased entries in our Association (City) Tournament and we will be changing many things in the tournament as well.

I cannot emphasize enough the importance of certifying both your leagues and tournaments.  Just the free protection of the bonding of your league funds is worth it.

Our office is open for any questions or problems that might come up during the season.  Please feel free to call our Association Manager Steve Donahue, myself, or your bowling center representative for assistance.  Also you can log on to our web site at www.syracusebowling.com for information.

I ask that my fellow bowlers participate in our local tournaments.  We conduct these for all of our membership and the success of these tournaments depends upon your support and participation.  There will be some new incentives in our Association (City) Tournament.  Look for these and tell your teammates and league members about them.

I am honored to serve as your President and I am looking forward to a successful and rewarding season for our Association and the Bowling Community.

Yours in bowling,

Martin J. Fichera
