Vito for many years was one of Syracuse’s outstanding bowlers. Among his many personal accomplishments include winning the New York State all-events in 1952 with a score of 1961 and winning the N.Y.S. singles crown in 1959 with 749. His highest average was 219. Vito was a charter member of the Professional Bowlers Association and finished fourth on the national television show in 1964. He has the distinction of being on eight Syracuse Bowling Association team champions with eight different teams, and winning the singles in 1964 with 649.
