Cliff worked as a newspaperman back in 1922 with the Telegram-American and was with them until 1925 when they merged with the Journal-American. Moore was assigned to the bowling beat and when the 1935 A.B.C. tournament was held in Syracuse, he reported every score that was rolled in the tournament. League box scores were a regular feature in the Journal-American until it was picked up by the Post-Standard in the late 1920’s. He was also instrumental with the women bowlers and his original New York State Women’s tournament was the forerunner of the New York State Women’s Bowling Association annual tournament.
