Sam Ventura
2009---Outstanding Bowler

The Syracuse Bowling Association is pleased to welcome Sam Ventura into its Hall of Fame in the Outstanding Bowler category. Sam began his bowling career in Utica N.Y. in 1971 at the age of thirteen. In his very first tournament appearance, the Utica Jr. City tournament, he finished first in all-events, second in singles, and second in doubles. Just a few of Sam’s bowling accomplishments include winning the Herald Masters in 1985, winning the New York State Masters in 1989 & 1990, member of the NYS team event scratch champions in 1989. He was the winner of two Syracuse Bowling Association Team champions and two Doubles championships. Three times, he was the Ohio Majors Bowling Federation Champion, 1999-2000-2001 and he is a two time ABC Masters Finalist. In 2003, he was the Highroller forty and over champion. Just some of his ABC and USBC award scores include, 35-300 games, 15-800 series, and 12-299 games.
