Perhaps Bill is remembered to many central New Yorkers as the voice of “Vernon Downs” but the bowling community claims him as one of its most distinguished leaders. Bill was the proprietor of Marine Bowl, an eight lane bowling center in Brewerton, for seventeen years. He served as director and affable promoter of “Syracuse Bowls”, a long running TV tournament, and also served as manager of the Herald Masters for ten years. He was a very influential member and officer of the local and state bowling proprietors organization.
