Anthony was President of the Syracuse Bowling Association in the 1952-53 season. In 1931, he led the Willard Battery team to the championship of the New York State tournament. He contributed a 234 game to the Markson Furniture team score of 1216 that stood until 1969. He paired with Frank Liss to win the City doubles in 1936 and also placed second in the New York State Singles with a score of 710.
