Gary holds the record for the highest qualifying score in the Van Wie Doubles and lists a fourth place finish in the 1974 A.B.C. tournament along with a win in the Vargo Classic doubles among many tournament and high finishes. He and Mike Daley have won the Van Wie doubles three different times, 1997, 1999, and 2000. Also he was the runner-up in the 2004 Herald Masters. Gary was a member of two New York State team champions and a S.B.A. team title in 1986. he has bowled 300 games in the New York State tournament, the Western and Central tournament, and in Herald Masters match play.
