“Max” bowled for more than forty years and was credited with the formation of both men’s and mixed leagues. He was a league secretary for more than thirty years. As president of the sixty team American Legion League in1949, he was responsible for the formation of the New York State Legion tournament which was started in Syracuse in 1950. “Max” served as bowling chairman for the Onondaga County American Legion. In the 1962-63 season, he served as President of the Syracuse Bowling Association. During his many years of service, he actively lent his bowling skills in conducting tournament events to both local and state association tournaments.
