Jake was captain of the “Osage Rub” team, which won the 1927 New York State team championship and also was a member of the “Popular Bowling” team which won the Syracuse Association championship in 1933. In 1942, he was the singles champion of the S.B.A. and also paired with Herm Scheyer to win the doubles with a score of 1271.
