Don could very well be one of the Syracuse Bowling Association Presidents whose bowling career started as a pinboy. He has been on many championship teams in classic leagues including Raphael’s Restaurant, Van Wie Chevrolet, Hotel Syracuse and A&W Root Beer. Some of his titles include winning the Herald Masters twice, the Van Wie Doubles three times, two New York State team championships and the 1984 New York State Doubles with John Russo. Don started writing the “World of Ten Pins” local bowling paper in 1967 and in 1983, he completed ten years as a P.B.A. tournament sponsor.
