Since 1985, Joe has been a certified lane inspector for the Syracuse Bowling Association. He served as Assistant Secretary-Treasurer of the S.B.A from 1989 thru 1993. In 1995, he served as President of the Syracuse Bowling Association. Joe was elected as a Director of the New York State Bowling Association in 1998. He had the 700 Bowlers Club of America chapter #39 reinstated. In 1993, he represented the S.B.A. in Mobile, Alabama along with the Syracuse Chamber of Congress to secure the 1999 A.B.C. tournament in Syracuse.
