Jim was a member of the “Romans’ team which dominated local bowling for some years around the 1920’s. He was high average bowler in the City League and won several city championships with other members of the S.B.A. Hall of Fame, John O. Martino, Frank Cattalane, Louis Errico, and Jim Furcinito. He also won championships while bowling with other teams which included, North Side Tire, Randall Clothes, Byrne Seiberling, and Revoir Motors.
