Ono Moro has been bowling in the Syracuse Bowling Association for over fifty-seven years. He has always been a tough competitor and a gracious opponent who has earned the respect of his bowling peers. During his career he had averages of over 200 on fourty-three different occassions. Ono spent much of his bowling years in the Greater Syracuse League where the teams bowled in some of the most demanding houses in Syracuse. Ono has a highest lifetime league average of 218 and a high series of 781 in the City League in 1988-89. In 1974, Ono bowled the first 300 game recorded at the new Turn Hall Lanes. All total, Ono has five sanctioned 300 games to his credit. Five times he has been a member of championship teams in the Greater Syracuse League and on two occassions he had the high average in the Suburban Division of the Greater Syracuse League. In 1976, Ono was a member of the Association tournament team champion "Santaro Trucking".
