Some of his accomplishments include winning the Van Wie Doubles three times with Dave Hibbard, in 1976, 1991 & 1992. In 1995, he won the Syracuse Bowling Association singles title with a score of 778 and also he has won two U.S. Open qualifying tournaments. In 2002, he was a member of the New York State Mixed Team champions. Sonny has consistently been one of the top average bowlers in Syracuse with his average ranging from the 210’s to above the 220’s.
