He sparked his Solvay High School team to four straight county championships as well as a section three championship. Lou owns a share of team championships in the Greater Syracuse League, the City League, and the Post-Standard League. His Trailer Diner team once set an association team record score of 3431 and His Twin Trees team set a game record of 1298. Twice he has won the Van Wie Doubles, with Flash Caloia in 1963 and in 1965 with Joe Borello.
