Ted Melnyk has been bowling in the Syracuse Bowling Association for over twenty-eight years. His highest league average was 229 in the Fremont Classic League in the 1997-98 season. He carries a 193 average in 24 ABC tournaments with his best performance being in the 1993 tournament in Tulsa Oklahoma. That year he had a 2021 all-events score including a 709 in the singles. Ted has consistantly had a high 200 average since 1991. In the 1993-94 season in the Greater Syracuse League, he had a league high average of 220 which was a record at the time. Also he had high average in the league during the 1998-99 & 1999-2000 seasons. In the City Association tournament, he was on the team champions twice, once in 1998 and again in 2001. During the 1993 tournament, he paired with Dr.Tom Osinski to win the doubles with a score of 1436.
