Ken got into classic league play in Syracuse in 1961, when he bowled with the very strong Trailer Diner team in the Post-Standard League. Ken was on many championship teams in the City League, the Post-Standard League and the Syracuse Major Classic League with Van Wie Chevrolet and Hotel Syracuse teams. Ken is one of the few local bowlers to virtually win every local match play title including the Herald Masters in 1963, the Van Wie Doubles twice with Don Gates, the local Match Games twice, and the now extinct New York State Match Games.
