James Robarge
2007---outstanding performance

While bowling in Syracuse from 1970 until 1991, he carried a lifetime average of 201. Jim carried averages of between 215 and 220 for many years when scoring conditions were much more difficult than they are now.
Only some of his accomplishments included, being the King of the Hill in 1972 and 1973 on the very popular “ Syracuse Bowls” television show. In 1975, he won the B.P.A.A. Match Games championship. Also he has paired with Gus Russo to win the Van Wie doubles tournament on three different occasions, in 1975, 1977, and again in 1990. In 1976, he won the Cream of the Crop tournament and also was the high qualifier and second place finisher in the Watkins Glen Winter Carnival tournament. He is a New York State Doubles champion with Mike Cornish and a member of the New York State team champions in 1982. Jim was selected many times to the “ World of Ten Pins All Star team” and was voted Bowler of the Year in Syracuse in 1977 and again in 1978.
