John Rutkowski was an outstanding bowler during
the 1920’s, 30’s 40’s and 50’s. He won
the Syracuse Bowling Association singles title in 1940 and the
doubles title with E. Strazelecki in 1949. His high average was
213 and high series was 776. In 1929, John was selected along with
34 other individuals to represent the United States in Sweden for
the World Tournament. He won several international titles including
the three-man team title in Germany in 1929 and the Berlin Singles
in 1933. In 1931, he won the Journal-American singles title.
