1973 meritorious service

“Win” spent almost his entire life in the game of bowling and could qualify to election in any one of the three categories now in effect. He started out as the manager of Mt. Tabor Church Lanes in the late 1930’s and branching out as co-owner of Columbus Park Lanes and Seneca Lanes before retiring from management. He was an official of the National 700 Club, an active Director of the Syracuse Bowling Association and an official of the local B.P.A.A. Scheding was on thirty-six league championship teams, winning the City championship three times and finishing in fourteenth in A.B.C. in 1937 when he bowled a 700 series. His Genesee Beer team finished in eighth place in the A.B.C. tournament in Rochester in 1956. “Win’ was the very first winner of the Herald Masters tournament.
